Corey is passionate about helping others achieve their health and fitness goals, whether it be to lose weight, improve their quality of life, be in less pain, or just to look good. As a coach, Corey offers clear direction but includes clients in decisions along the way to build a sustainable program together. She is positive and encouraging while setting, and sticking to, goals. She loves creating simple recipes and meal plans that don’t make clients feel like they’re dieting. Corey’s approach sets her clients up for long-term success.
About Your Coach
Corey has been an athlete for most of her life. At an early age, she fell in love with ballet and began dancing. In addition to dance, she played softball, enjoyed waterskiing, and competed in a bowling league. After she stopped dancing in her early twenties, she yearned for something new and discovered weightlifting, which she practised for the next 10 years. During that time, she also started her family and is a proud mother to 3 sons, 2 step-sons, and 1 daughter.
Corey grew up around dieters and as a result developed an unhealthy relationship with food. She wanted her children to grow up with a healthier attitude towards nutrition so she started learning as much as she could about the subject. She eventually decided to pursue a degree in dietetics. Her love for nutrition continued to grow and she went on to acquire a Masters of Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition. After graduating, she proceeded to obtain her Personal Training Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is also certified in Pre/Post Training.
When she’s not helping others achieve their goals, she continually works on goals for herself. She runs marathons, does competitive roller skating, and competes in bodybuilding. Her next big adventure is never far away.
